TO GO SIX FEET UNDER
Music: Keep Believing - Aaron Carter
I'm updating this blog using my PC here in the office. And of course, my boss thinks I'm working very hard, when in fact I'm just waiting for 6pm so I could go home. Hmmm...
Halloween is one of my favourite occasions. Actually, the only holidays that our family observes are Christmas, New Year's Day, Holy Week, All Saint's Day and Halloween. We usually redecorate our house to match the season. So if you pass by our sweet shelter right now, you'll see a dummy hanging on the facade. The dummy looks horrifying that people freak out upon seeing it. I've seen a lot of funny reactions I wished I had caught them on cam.
I also join the children as they play hide-and-seek even up to the wee hours. (It's the only time of the year that these children are allowed to play at night.) But I doubt if I'd have enough energy to play with the kids tonight. I've been terribly sick since Saturday morning. Waaaah. I feel so hot (literally, whew). And I'm just updating this blog because I don't have anything to do even if I really don't have much to share with you guys... (sneeze) Damn illness!
And I just hope this is not dengue fever because I'm no ready to go six feet under yet. I'm a little sure that it is not because as far as my doctor and I are concerned, there are only four types of dengue virus and once you get one, you'll be immune to it. I already caught the virus four times, so it means I will never get this disease again (unless the viruses mutate, which I really pray not to happen).
Anyway, HAPPY HALLOWEEN, EVERYONE!!!

SATURDAY NIGHT. I was in Paco, Manila to join Mae as she celebrated her birthday. It was a really nice videoke party. And the food was fabulous. Wow. It's a good thing I decided to come to the party. Because if it weren't for a dose of Advil, I would have decapitated myself because of a really terrible headache. That headache was part of my hangover after consuming more than 11 bottles of beer the night before.
FRIDAY NIGHT. Drinking 11 bottles of beer was actually the result of a series of meet-you-there-and-let's-talk events. Last Friday night, from work (our office is in Ortigas), I met up with Josh and had dinner somewhere in Philcoa. He just arrived from Bangkok and that night he would go back to his province (Ilocos). We stayed together until some relative picked him up. It was a pretty cheap, yet indulging dinner. And hey Josh, you said you bought something for me when you were in Bangkok? Where is it? (But anyway, as I said before, everything is cheaper in Thailand, hehe. But it's the thought that counts so you better give it to me before the next term starts.)
After the dinner with Josh, I went back to Ortigas to meet Madonna (no, definitely not the singer). We were supposed to have dinner together but since I already had it with Josh, I just ordered beer for myself and some rice toppings for the girl. I had two buckets --- a bucket contains four bottles of beer. Madonna had one, so I consumed seven bottles that early. I'm really starting to think that I have a gift of having high alcohol-tolerance level.
And then, Dohna, Rex, Ian, Mimay and Kit asked me to meet them at Sidebar Cafe (it's a bar), just a couple of blocks away from where Madonna and I were staying. So we walked our way to the bar. I was surprised I could still walk the line despite the amount of alcohol saturating my blood. At Sidebar, I had several bottles of beer. But every 20 minutes, I would go to the restroom and pee. But I promised myself not to drink too much beer anymore. Aside from it realy puts my head in utter pain, I also always end up paying for more than half of the entire bill. My God, why am I always generous (or stupid) when I'm drunk?
THURSDAY NIGHT. Ayn and I had dinner at Sbarro, Megamall. There is nothing really special about that dinner. It's just ironic that Ayn had a whole order of ziti (pasta), and it was I who had (garden) salad.
TUESDAY NIGHT. I met up with James at GMA-Kamuning Station and walked to ABS-CBN (haha, now, that's ironic) to have some popcorn. Along the way, we stopped at some bibingka stall and bought a pair. From ABS-CBN, we walked to Ponciana's (not sure about the spelling) in Tomas Morato and had real dinner. It was nice that James loves some walkathon cos I love walking, too. It's just that most of our time was spent walking rather than eating. But it was a fun night.

Anyway, I'm ending this post with some pictures I took when I was in Palawan in May. Sorry for the quality of the pictures, I was only using my camera phone. Enjoy.

I SAID I WAS GOING TO BLAME A BULGARIAN
Music: Pag-alis - Barbie Almalbis
Wow! It's been two weeks since I last updated this blog. Well, I don't have any reason to go online anyway. Aside from updating this blog, the only reasons I step into cyberspace are (1) Fantasy Football, which I don't expect you to understand because who cares about football in this basketball-crazy country aside from Ayn, KZ and myself; and (2) Plam, who is now attending a university and is very busy studying that he seldom goes online. Who is this Plam, you ask? Secret.
Anyway, another reason I haven't updated this blog for so long is work. I sooo love my job. I was in Matabungkay Beach Resort last weekend and it's considered a business/company trip. It was fun --- especially when everything was paid by the company including my meals and they provided a car and a driver. Wowowee!
This Thursday, off to Villa Escudero in San Pablo City. Next Thursday, Enchanted Kingdom in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. And my boss requires me to go to different places every week (Who wouldn't want to go to these places for free with a driver and a car and free meals)? And he calls this work. I call it fun, especially when he pays me thousands of pesos a day for "working".

Here's another news. A friend in the province, Andrew, found out that I'm bisexual. He said he had no idea at all until he googled my (real) full name and found this blog.No one in my family or in my province knows that I am bisexual or that I have a blog or that I use the name Yoshke as my pen/nick name. Although I have been posting several pictures of myself lately, I didn't know that anyone would actually find this blog by googling my real full name.
But it's okay. Andrew is a good friend, anyway. Nevertheless, as I've said a thousand times before, if you want to ruin my life, all you have to do is tell anyone in my family about it. And that's it --- I'd be dead.
It's a good thing Andrew first talked to me and not ask anyone else in the province. So I was able to tell him not to tell anyone. Hihi.
I've been avoiding to type my full name on this blog but SOME BULGARIAN GUY unintentionally mentioned my real first name when he reacted to one of my entries. Hehehe. (Hey, I'm not blaming you. Hahaha. It's okay.)

By the way, I would like to --- I don't know --- thank or hate Bebs for sort of featuring me on his blog:"Naisip ko dapat umeport ako ng English sa blog. Kasi. Kasi. Si ES kasi. Umieport ng inglesan sa blog. Me nakabasa. Gwapo. Kamukha ni Tom Cruise slash Brandon Routh. In ader words, naging sila. Kasi natuwa siya sa blog ni ES..."
Bebs, I don't know what to say. I can't say everything you said is absolutely true. Hmmm.... Let me see... Here: How was envy for dinner? Nyahaha.
Pero seryoso, Bebs, magkaibigan na lang kami. Wala naman kasing sense ang pagiging mag-on kung nasa kabilang parte siya ng mundo, ano? Ayan, nag-Tagalog tuloy ako.

Reen: Gagu! You're asking the wrong person. I'm married to one!

Music: No More Drama - Mary J. Blige
Three weeks ago, I woke up smiling. It was the first time that it happened to me for a very long time. You see, my last year in college was hell. Filthy org politics, thesis, friendship issues, identity crisis (haha), days of depression, black-outs, standstills, failed one-month relationships, and so on. But that morning was different. I didn't know if I just had a very nice dream, but it really didn't matter. I was smiling. And that moment, I told myself: My life is good. And I'm gonna be happy.
Since then, a lot has changed in me. I have consistently refused to go to Starbucks and avoided coffee. Waking up early (no matter how late I went to bed the previous night) has become a habit. And with the help of someone, who, ironically, is very far (yey, Plam!), I have successfully finished the last stick of cigarette I'm gonna put between my lips ever. And beer? It's not included. Beer is already a part of my circulatory system. I love beer so much. But I have been controlling my alcohol intake. (After all, Andre is the only bad influence around.)
And for the past month, I have not only puked all the unhealthiness out of my system. My career is also doing really good. A new company adopted me and made me the Research and Development Head. And the compensation? Heavenly. Let's just say that my monthly salary is more than what a call centre agent earns in two months. Cool, huh. All because of my work ethic, my good relationships to my workmates (and bosses), the Book of Success that I've been reading for the past four weeks, and the fact that I'm from UP. Really, being from UP does matter. At least it did for me. I'm also setting up my own business, and hopefully, I could open it to the public before October ends.
So there. When I attended some success seminar in Makati, I was hit by what a speaker told me: "You're on the right path. You're in the right vehicle. You just don't know how to drive."
And now, I'm not an expert yet but at least I know how. And I'm pretty aware that learning how to drive is just the start of the journey. But at this moment, I'm so glad. After all, finding the right path is the most difficult and the longest phase of all.
What do I want to say in this post? Simple. I'm happy.

In other news: I'm not a faithful viewer of Pinoy Dream Academy but I just fell in love with the song Yeng Constantino composed, Hawak Kamay. I'm still trying to figure out how to find the lyrics to this song. (I just can't understand Jun Hirano's part.) I don't really like Yeng but she's really good. I like Jay-R and Kristoff. Hehe. They're, er, cute.
Other songs that make me happy these past few days are: Stacie Orrico's I'm Not Missing You, JoJo's Too Little Too Late, Christina Aguilera's Save Me From Myself and Pink's Who Knew (I cried the first time I heard this song...). And also, Anastacia's theme song At the Beginning (Richard Marx and Donna Lewis).
If you still haven't grabbed a copy of Christina Aguilera's third effort Back to Basics, then do it now. I bet it's gonna get Grammy's next nod for Album of the Year. And Ain't No Other Man, Record of the Year. (The album debuted #1 in the Billboard 200 chart, although the carrier track only reached #6 in Hot 100.) Other tracks that I really adore are Slow Down Baby, Hurt and Understand. Xtina rocks!

Last week, there was a big yellow butterfly on a glass window pane in my room. I heard my mum tell me, "That's your dad, checking if we're okay."
Since childhood, I have always considered that idea absurd. You know, that our departed loved ones' souls sometimes visit us in another form --- butterfly, moth, dove --- it's rubbish. But since my dad passed away, a big yellow butterfly always comes to our sweet abode as soon as September starts. It's weird. Err... I'm not saying I believe that now.
But on Monday night, I woke up terribly freaked out because I had something on my right hand. I thought it was a small lizard or something. In utter shock, I made the eewy thing go away, but it was so stubborn so I hit the window pane with the same hand. Yuck. When I turned the lights on, I realised it was that big yellow butterfly that had always been in my room since the month began. In other words, I broke the window pane. And the butterfly, crushed dead.
The next morning, my mum asked me, "Oh, where is your dad (referring to that yellow butterfly)?"
And so I answered, "Err... I think I killed him last night."
Poor daddy.
