THE LAST BUT NOT THE BEST

Were I not a Film graduate, I would say that the final installment X-Men 3: The Last Stand is the best among the three. But I am. So I'm saying now that it's the worst.
Why is that?
I'm not saying that I didn't enjoy it. In fact, it is the most entertaining, the most action-packed and the most emotionally moving in the series. However, I think the film is spread too thin. There are so many characters but less time to develop each one leaving the audience confused and disappointed. There are too many setups but only a few of them are resolved. One good example is Ben Foster's character Warren Worthingthon III aka Angel. He has a lot of potential "help" but he is just dropped at the end of the film. He could have been a very emotionally-charged character.
As a result, only the first half of the movie keeps your hands on its grip. But after the first hour, it all comes crashing down. Anyway, it's not a secret that I am a full-blooded true-hearted X-Men fan. And I'm sure that none of the movies can be considered as good as the animated series or the comic book itself. But among the sci-fi superhero flicks, any of the three movies is the best.
But there are things that make me disappointed regarding the films (yep, all three).
1. Why is Cyclops so useless? He's the leader of the team for Christ's sake! He looks so frail and sluggish. Get a life Cyclops.
2. Why is Storm so weak? As far as I'm concerned (and I know that a lot of fans will agree), Storm should be one of the most powerful characters. But she just gets hit and kicked everytime. In the animated series, she can even create a tornado and hail storm. But in the movies, all she creates is fog. Come on. Storm can definitely do better than that.
3. Why is it always about Wolverine? I admit --- Wolverine is not my favourite character. But three movies revolving around him? Not to mention the upcoming Wolverine movie (yep, he's got a solo career, you know). It's just too much. The first X-Men movie is about Rogue and Wolverine. The second is about Wolverine alone. And the third is about Jean and Wolverine. Enough.
4. Rogue is supposed to be flying, strong, outspoken and SEXY. But all we got here is a weak, afraid and almost useless Rogue. In the animated series, she likes stealing other mutants' powers and use it to her advantage. She can even move mountains literally (Yeah I know, the animated series is somewhat exaggerated). And did I mention? She's supposed to be HOT, HOT, HOT.
5. Why do they have to die?! I'm talking about Jean Grey, Cyclops and Professor X. Yes, they killed them in this movie! Nooooooo.
6. Last but not the least, why is my favourite character missing? Where the hell is GAMBIT?
But there is also a couple characters to watch out for in the third X-Men movie.
1. Kitty Pryde aka Shadowcat (Ellen Page). She is so hot. I really think she's sexy.
2. Warren Worthington III aka Angel (Ben Foster). Refer to my comment on Shadowcat. Hahaha.
So Hollywood, wait for me. This is not gonna be the last X-Men movie. I'm gonna be the director of the next three X-Men movies and I'll make sure that Storm would get the amount of screen time and strength of character she deserves, Rogue would be as hot as anyone can never imagine, and Gambit would be introduced. Look forward to the resurrection of Jean, Cyclops and Professor X. And expect more scenes and subplots for Shadowcat and Angel. Hahaha.
