I cannot finish the new layout that I'm making for this blog. There's something that I cannot fix. Oh well. Might as well save it for July.

Anyway, since I have nothing interesting to share cos I've just been bumming around lately, I'd just tell you my current TV addiction. And it's God(?) Save Our King. I've always loved ANIMAX Channel because of Detective Conan and Fullmetal Alchemist but when God(?) Save Our King made its debut last week, I just can't get enough of animé.

Here's a short synopsis of my latest Japanese animation madness from animax-asia:

What irony! Yuri Shibuya is your typical baseball-loving high school student, who is trying to save a classmate from bullies, somehow finds himself flushed down the toilet. One way or another, the toilet bowl is a doorway to a medieval world, where humans and demons coexist on the brink of war. Aside from its really funny dialogues and scenes, one thing that makes it different from other anime shows is that it has openly gay characters. I'm telling you. This one is sooo gay. Although the main character is not gay, he just went into a world where love among men is accepted. But it's not just that. Story-wise, it's incredibly good. Believe me.

The series works pretty well, with a fair amount of humor injected into it which will give viewers more than a few chuckles. For example, Yuri's visitation by a nearly nude woman in the bath forces him to flee in 'horror' as he is afraid to be seen in the buff. The show also deals a bit with homosexuality, as Yuri is occasionally seen as a sexual being from both the male and female perspectives (wait until you see the woman that hits on Yuri). Of course, when the son Wolfram is slapped by Yuri, Yuri is surprised to learn that slapping someone means that they are engaged. OK, enough of kiddie stuff. I should go back to work. And it's not work as in work. But I'm currently writing another novel. I just hope I finish writing it. I always start writing novels but always end up not having enough patience to finish it --- like what happened to April Fools and Human Hybrids.
