WISH I WERE IN GERMANY

Status: Football Crazy
Music: Ain't No Other Man - Christina Aguilera
I am a bit irritated by the idea that I have no one to talk to whenever I feel the need to share my opinions regarding the ever-exciting FIFA World Cup Germany 2006. I'm quite exaggerating, eh? Well, maybe I am. Actually, I only know two people who enjoy talking about the current football fanaticism --- KZ and Josh. [sigh ] What's wrong with the rest of you, people? Football is THE BEST sport there is in this goddamn world! And you just don't give a damn?! Oh well. That's life. I guess you just can't force a nation madly in love with basketball to appreciate the best thing that is football. No! Not soccer. It's football. Soccer is just too... American. Not that I have a problem with it.
Anyway, I really keep my hopes alive and kicking for Germany. If you still had not noticed, I am a BIG BIG fan of this former Nazi-infested nation when it comes to sports. [ See Timo Boll, Table Tennis. ] After a 2-0 loss to Brazil at the finals last Japan-Korea World Cup, I really hope that the three-time World champion would go grabbing victory on home soil this year. I was incredibly thrilled with the Germany - Poland match last week. I am no fan of Oliver Neuville but I must admit that he did a great job that day. If it weren't for him, the German team would be going home with no goals at all. I was expecting that the winning goal be delivered by Miroslav Klose, though.
It's a bit after 11pm, and right now, German fans and players are having the time of their (our) lives as Germany seems to murder Ecuador, 2-0. Both goals were made by my super-ultra-magnetic football idol Miroslav Klose! I'm in heaven right now! Nyahahaha! (Sounds like a devilish laugh, huh?) But the game is not over yet. How about a third goal, Klose?
I'm really a big fan of his. Actually, I used to think that he was the only reason I support the entire Deutsche team. I really think he's fucking good (and mind you, he is not overrated). It's just that he's not that cute. (Oh come on, stop that flirt shit, Yoshke.) But now, along with Klose, I have come to admire Michael Ballack, Bernd Schneider, Lukas Podolsky and maybe Philipp Lahm.
I am also a big supporter of England. For the past decades, England has played so poorly in the World Cup that they always disappoint me. I hope the Englishmen would not betray me this year. I sometimes don't understand why they have such poor performances when everytime I evaluate the players individually, I almost always think that they would always make it to the finals. Most of my most-admired football superstars are playing for England, you see. Name it! Michael Owen, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, John Terry and of course, David Beckham.
Apparently, both KZ and Josh are certified Brazil mad fans. Although Josh also hopes for his home country to win (that's France) and KZ, thank God, also wishes good luck for Germany, I am really expecting for a Germany-England match at the finals.

| GO GERMANY!!! Nakakatakot ang Spain, magaling sila lalo na si Torres and Fabregas. Pero dadaan muna sila sa Brazil bago nila harapin ang Germany. Nyahaha. Michael Owen is ruled out!!! Pesteng injury! | ||
