A month ago, a very good friend asked me this not-so-important question: Has that someone made you cry?
And without any hesitation, I said "yes, a lot of times." But it was not really love or romantic whatever. In other words, it was not heartache. It was just that whenever I look back to what we used to be, I can't help but dread our current situation. And it was not just circumstances that drastically changed almost everything. It was him --- his sudden change of mind, which might be caused by a complex flux of every little factor involved. Simply put, a misunderstanding, or something I still can't grasp until now. But really, it was not love. It was more like friendship. And what tears me apart is the idea that we were this close and all of a sudden, it was gone. And it pains me until now.
I curse him for being the only man to make me cry from the moment I have accepted being like this. And for that, I have come to decide that I will, someday, get back to him. But that time, I will hurt him that he would think I was the one who invented the word "pain". I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to do that. But I swear, that revenge would be sweeter than we have been. Oh well.
1. Michael Owen was ruled out of the World Cup after a knee injury last Wednesday in the match against Sweden. He really is a great loss for England, I reckon. Although he did not perform well in the past few matches. Anyway, I'm still glad Steven Gerrard is still there.
2. What's up with the refereeing? Enough said.
3. The United States is out and the entire American nation is bitter. That's a generalisation. I meant, some Americans. And as Jon Stewart said, there's no embarassment on the part of the United States. After all, they were just beaten by one of Africa's least malnourished nations. Hahaha.
4. England is facing Portugal in the next match. I will pray starting now. Portugal is incredibly good this year.
5. There is a growing understanding between Miroslav Klose and Lukas Podolsky. Their teamwork really works. Haha. You decide what that understanding is.
6. Australia did a pretty good job. Impressive. Too bad they have to go home after a bad that referee's poor decision-making skills. See you next World Cup, socceroos!
Have you seen Christina Aguilera's latest video Ain't No Other Man? If not, try to catch it. You don't know how much you're missing. Christina might be following Madonna's footsteps --- you know, constant reinvention.
And if you have seen the 2006 MTV Movie Awards, I'm sure you would agree with me that Christina Aguilera is THE STAR that night. Really wonderful performance. Too bad the album won't be released until August. I'm itching to grab a copy. I've waited for her comeback for so long!

Anyway, I'm still not over the World Cup fever because it is still not over. Lawrence (of UJP-UP) asked me why I'm such a BIG Germany fan. And whatever reason I gave him, I'm sure that justifies everything. Right, Asta? And here are some of my opinions regarding the latest World Cup highlights: ![]() |
