DWELLING LIKE A FROZEN ZOMBIE

Status: Dwelling.
Music: A Public Affair - Jessica Simpson
We were about to go to Starbucks but we couldn't move a bone because we were waiting for Tonet. Knowing how impatient Dohna was, I lent her my cellphone so she could text Tonet. After handing back the cellphone to me, I checked out what had happened to their little talk on my phone. Here's the entire conversation.
Dohna: Wer na u? D2 na us at Vinzons.
Tonet: Stil along Q.Ave. U wait me there ha?
Dohna: May choice ba naman us? U bilis urself. We'r being rained at.
Tonet: E di u wait me der at a shaded area!
Dohna: Oh so bobo naman us. Ok. We'l be at d railings of d Vinzons ok?
Haha. It's always really fun to be with Tonet and Dohna. And oh, with KZ, too.
I'm currently working for a company who teaches English to foreigners. I'm not an English trainer there. I'm the one who makes all the materials that the teachers use --- much like a lesson plan. I really enjoy it but I really think I'm underpaid. Don't ask me how much because it's really embarassing. Suffice it to say that half of it is enough to pay for my rent (apartment) and my Globe cellphone bill. Whatever?
Anyway, I really feel frustrated because I want to become a diplomat NOW! But we all know it's not possible. Like what I said to Andre, it's painful that I know what I really, really want but I still have to wait. And I can't do anything about it.
Anyway, after the movie, we went to Masas somewhere in Greenbelt and had a few rounds of Frozen Zombie. I was just drinking the whole time and occasionally smoking. Never did I ask how much a pitcher of that freakingly delicious thing costs. And when we were about to leave, I was surprised to find out that it's just P195 per pitcher. Pretty cheap for a really good booze, huh? That won't be the last time that I step a foot on that place. I'm certain of it.

I'm getting more and more frustrated about my career everyday. I've always wanted to become a diplomat but to be able to do that, I have to pass the Foreign Service exam. I decided to take that exam next year (because it's an annual thing). So now, I'm telling myself (but I seem to be not listening) that any job will do as long as it's high-paying. It doesn't matter if it's a call centre or a language centre or whatever. As long as it's not advertising, it gives a pretty decent compensation, and I enjoy what I'm doing, it's totally fine.I'm currently working for a company who teaches English to foreigners. Last Friday I arrived at the office at 6am and started working. I left the building at 7pm. Actually, I am only required to work for eight hours but sometimes, when I am not able to finish the tasks within that given period, I stay at the office and make sure everything's done before leaving. Last Friday was different, though. I left the office even if I still had a bulk to be busy with. I just needed some air. So I took a walk along Makati Avenue. I was just walking (It's really fun to walk around Makati. anyway). Then, I met up with Ce-ann and Jordan (Broad Guild friends), and Paolo (JMA friend) at Glorietta Food Choices. We had our dinner and decided to watch a movie. We had a little heated argument regarding the film that we would be watching. I wanted My Super Ex-Girlfriend; Paolo wanted Snakes on a Plane; Jordan wanted Little Man; and Ce-An, well, she said, she'd just go with the flow. Jordan won. But after coming out of the theatre, we were all disappointed --- especially Jordan. Unlike White Chicks, Little Man is a stupid movie for stupid people. It's really pang-bobo. And it's so racist. All their representations of white people are so bad. Talk about getting even. I'll post a more decent review one of these days.Anyway, after the movie, we went to Masas somewhere in Greenbelt and had a few rounds of Frozen Zombie.
